Professional Experience

As an artist in the community:

• Art play schemes, festivals, residences in schools, parks, colleges throughout Hampshire and beyond, working with all ages in a wide range of techniques and media. Major themes have been nature and the environment.
  
  
• Art teaching posts held at Eggars Secondary School, All Hallows Secondary School, and Robert May Secondary School.

  

In my studio:

• Working on commissions and exhibition pieces, running workshops, and projects such as large felt making and yurt building.

Design, installation and teaching in places such as:

• Queen Elizabeth Country Park: Interactive installation.
  
  
• Butser Ancient Iron Age Farm and Roman Villa: Hands-on ancient technology, designing, building wicker men, bread ovens, frescoes, etc.
  
  
• Tahir High School, Soma, in Gambia: Camera obscura in the environment.
  
  
• All Saints Primary School (Beacon school), Fleet: Celebrating their link to the Gambia with a ceramics and fine art project.
  
  
• Send Prison for Women: Felt making.
  
  
• Highland Wildlife Park: Interactive visitor art.

Personal Interests

I have a passion for the natural environment and a deep curiosity concerning the nature of the human psyche and the evolution of consciousness.

I have been to many courses run by the Sacred Trust, which researches the spiritual culture of indigenous peoples. I have 45 certificated days with Psychology of Vision.

I am also a keen gardener, cook, mum and singer.

I have always valued the relationships I make with those people who live and work in rural places in both traditional and pioneering practices.
