A hands-on ecology exhibition designed, made and installed at the visitor centre.
Entrance is free, an unsupervised area, exhibits range from low to high tech and use a minimum of text to demonstrate basic principles of nature particularly relevant to downland and woodland environments.
Exhibits not shown here include a feely screen, a monitor to microscope link-up, a primrose table, a rocking sheep and other items, also a large mat game with dice, based on the country code. |  |  |
Seek a Minibeast
Find a minibeast in the leaf litter at the bottom of the tree and identify.
Herbal Tinctures
Display to inspire ideas about the history and character of local wild flowers and plants.
Tree Identity Parade & Runes
Each leaf, an image of use, seed, flower, leaf etc. of each tree – a puzzle.
Animal Tracks
Make a print in the sand box and track the shape to its animal maker.
